The First Black President’s First Thursday Ever on Martha’s Vineyard – by definition, an historic, and noteworthy, day.

9:35 a.m. holding in the bus on the Blue Heron Farm grounds. No info shared with us as yet, except: the bus toilet is fine for No.1, but No. 2 only in an emergency.

10:19 a.m.  Rolling–kids and bikes aboard the motorcade today.

10:45 first aquinnah excursion for POTUS there are push bikes on back of a Land Rover in motorcade now idling in direction of Lobsterville. Press pool impressed by menemsha views but concerned about ticks and poor cell service.

11:23 POTUS and family plus friends Eric Whitaker and Konrad Ng on leisurely  bicycle ride in Aquinnah. Along lobsterville beach, POTUS wearing black, short sleeved shirt, beige trousers and sunglasses.

12pm Potus and team toured the gayhead lighthouse in aquinnah and
waved from balcony at large crowds gathered at aquinnah circle and
cliffs. Michelle wearing orange singlet white shorts and white
baseball cap. Girls heard testing echo inside building. Lighthouse
first turned on in 1799 current keeper Joan Lelacheur present at tour.
Now headed back to blue heron, small crowds wave at motorcade at
chilmark store, beautiful day here.
